An adventure through feelings

The programme gives children a shared, imaginative world through which they can talk about real experiences in a safe and secure environment. Sebby and the Mood Stars become familiar reference points that teachers and children can use throughout the school day, embedding wellbeing into the culture of the classroom.

Across Years 1 and 2, the programme helps children develop emotional literacy, regulate feelings, get on with others and become more resilient. It also creates stronger links between school, home and the child by giving adults a consistent language for emotional development.

Each year group follows 12 sessions. The learning is supported by the story, printable activities and My Mood Stars, which children can touch and use when talking about emotions in or outside the session.

Support for teachers and families

Teachers receive two hours of CPD-accredited training, helping them deliver the programme and think more deeply about the social and emotional needs of their class.

Parents and carers receive short videos explaining what children are learning and offering practical ways to support emotional development at home.

Build wellbeing every day

Creative lessons become part of classroom life.

It was easy to use and the children enjoyed the story. The pupils became more confident to discuss their emotions using the correct terminology and could identify in themselves and their friends how different emotions make us feel and behave differently.

We loved learning about Sebby the Star and using the little stars.

Some children who really struggle were able to understand that these emotions are okay and began to notice when they were becoming upset and would talk to an adult or go and sit somewhere quietly.

Me and my friends play better now because we can talk about our problems.

When pupil's had big feelings, they are now more confident to use a range of skills to regulate themselves. They are also able to identify big feelings in others and leave them alone rather than going over to them which would cause a bigger issue.
