Teacher training
Heads Up Kids offers age-appropriate programmes from Reception through to Year 6. Each programme builds emotional literacy, emotional regulation, positive relationships, confidence and resilience in a way that reflects the children’s stage of development.
Every teacher can be a teacher of wellbeing
Training is not an optional extra added to the programme. It prepares teachers to facilitate the sessions with confidence and helps them embed the learning in the culture and everyday language of the class.
We support teachers to think about behaviour as communication, recognise the social dynamics within their class and consider their own feelings and responses. This reflective approach makes the training relevant to the children and situations staff encounter every day.
Programme training is CPD accredited.
INSET Training
We also offer key-stage and whole-school INSET sessions, with bespoke content shaped around the needs and priorities of each school.
Training can explore how to build an emotional language, create a safe classroom, strengthen relationships, understand behaviour, repair conflict and overcome barriers to working with wellbeing.
The aim is to leave staff with ideas they can use immediately and a shared approach that supports greater consistency across the school.
